CANCELLATION POLICIES:

 

MORE THAN 14 DAYS FROM ARRIVAL DATE: A full refund will be given for cancellations made at least 14 days prior to your arrival date.

 

WITHIN 14 DAYS to 72 HOURS OF ARRIVAL DATE: A 50% refund will be given for cancellations within 14 days to 72 Hours before arrival. Instead of a refund, you may also choose to have the full reservation amount applied as a 6-month credit toward a future stay sometime within the next six months.

 

WITHIN 72 HOURS OF ARRIVAL DATE: If you cancel within 72 Hours of arrival date at 4pm all paid funds will be forfeited.

6 MONTH CREDIT POLICIES: 

Once you choose either the 50% refund or the six-month credit at the time of cancellation, we do not offer the unchosen option after the fact. If you choose the six-month credit and apply the dollar amount to a future stay, no refunds are given if there is a balance less the credit amount. If you apply a six-month credit and the rate is higher, you are responsible for paying the balance due. You may only move your dates of stay once after the original cancellation date. If the original reservation is canceled and the guest takes a 6-month credit, they are not permitted to move the dates or cancel again. If the guest calls to cancel a reservation with a credit applied there will be no refund or credit option offered.

 

PARKING:

All Guests have use of the on-site parking at the hotel for standard vehicles only. Please contact the front desk at (866) 990-6852 for local boat trailer storage information.

CHECK-IN LOCATIONS/TIMES:

Cove Creek Lodge is located at 19638 Garrett Highway, Oakland, MD 21550. Our entrance is located on the Glendale Road side. The contract holder must present photo identification for validation before any keys will be given out. You can visit our directions page to find detailed directions on how to locate our office when traveling from the areas of Baltimore, Washington D.C., East Pittsburgh, and West Pittsburgh areas. 

 

WHAT'S PROVIDED/WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

Upgraded Linens and Towels are provided for you during your stay. Guests will be charged for missing or damaged linens. Please bring beach towels for the lakefront area. Our towels are for use in the rooms only. Check-In is at 4:00pm and Check-Out is at 11:00am.

PAYMENTS:

50% of the total reservation is due at the time of booking, with the other 50% due 30 days prior to your arrival. Reservations must be paid in full prior to arrival. If you would like to discuss payment arrangements for your reservation, please contact our front desk staff.

 

SMOKING POLICIES:

Cove Creek Lodge is a Non-Smoking Facility. We have two designated smoking areas for our guests. Please obtain these locations from our front desk staff. Smoking is prohibited on all decks, patios, pool areas, guest rooms, and any interior common space of the building. Anyone violating these policies may be asked to leave the premises without refund. Additional fees for smoking in the room may be assessed as damages.

PET POLICIES:

Up to 2 dogs are allowed only in our select rooms designated as “Dog Friendly” through our website. If your room is considered Dog Friendly and you would like to bring them along, there are no additional fees to bring up to 2 dogs with you to a dog friendly room.

 

Dogs are permitted in their designated guest room, the outside decks, lawn areas, lakeside areas, and patio as long as they are on a leash and with their owner. Please be respectful of our other guests and keep dogs under control at all times.

 

Dogs are NOT permitted inside any of our interior common areas of the lodge including the upper level sitting room, lobby, or lower level bar/lounge and sitting areas. They are also not permitted inside the fence surrounding the outdoor pool, or allowed to swim in the pool.

 

Cats and other animals are prohibited from our rentals. Please clean up after your pets and do not allow them on furniture or beds. Any malicious pet damages during your stay will be the financial responsibility of the dog owner as our guest.

 

Dogs are not allowed in any guest room that is not designated “Dog Friendly.” If pets are found on premises without permission, the guest will be subject to immediate eviction without refund and possible additional fees.

 

Please use our designated dog relief area just outside of our designated Dog Friendly rooms on the rear side of the lodge. It is the dog owner’s responsibility to clean up after them and ensure they use the designated relief area.

Even in dog-friendly rooms, it’s prohibited to bring any dog with a history or instance of aggressive or reactive tendencies. Aggressive behavior, failure to comply with the leash law, and/or other dog policies outlined below, will be reported, and result in immediate eviction of the property. We welcome any dog which you know to be well-socialized, trained, and friendly in any situation involving others, both human and canine, as there may be nearby dogs at neighboring properties. However, due to restrictions in place by homeowner insurance policies, breeds listed as most aggressive are banned from all rentals, regardless of the training and temperament of the individual dog. This is defined as, but is not limited to:

  • Pit Bull Terriers
  • Staffordshire Terriers
  • Rottweilers
  • German Sheperds
  • Presa Canarios
  • Chow Chows
  • Doberman Pinchers
  • Akitas
  • Wolf-Hybrids
  • Mastiffs
  • Cane Corsos
  • Great Danes
  • Alaskan Malamutes
  • Siberian Huskies

 

 

Garrett County Leash Law: Dog(s) MUST be leashed AT ALL TIMES and under verbal control when outside of dwelling.

 

Keep all dogs off furniture, beds, and out of pools.

 

Clean up after your dog(s) and dispose of waste properly.

 

Please dry your dog before entering property (after laps in the lake or playing in the rain).

 

Do not bathe dog in any bathtub, pool, or hot tub.

 

Respect your neighbors. (i.e. do not allow dog to continuously bark.)

 

If pet damage inside the room occurs, please contact the Front Desk staff promptly.

 

Dogs should be on a veterinarian-approved flea prevention program and current on all vaccines.

 

Owner/Management Company will not be liable for any attack, bite, disturbance, etc. of any dog.

 

Up to 2 dogs are permitted in a dog friendly rental room free of charge.
